The X-D was discontinued in September 2009.

The X-D is an omnidirectional electret condenser microphone that uses a tailored-response 10mm capsule. It is designed for use as a close mic on drums, percussion, and may be suited for use in other high-SPL applications such as guitar amplifiers.
The X-D has low output sensitivity, to avoid overloading preamplifiers when used on loud sources.

Power Supply and Interconnection

The X-D requires a phantom power supply of +18V to +48V. Lower phantom voltages may degrade the SPL handling ability of the X-D.
Interconnection for the X-D is as follows:
Phantom power (via XLR): Standard XLR-XLR cable. (cable not available from Naiant)
